'Taliban' cabby attacks passengers
A man suffered stab wounds after being attacked by a knife-wielding taxi driver after a heated exchange during a pick up in Hounslow The incident happened when the 21-year-old victim and two other passengers got into a taxi around 5pm on Sunday, July 29. During a row, the taxi driver shouted in a rage: "I'm a Taliban and I hate you bloody Sikhs! before he plunged a Stanley knife into the victim's neck and forearm A bystander who witnessed the attack raised the alarm and six police cars and and an ambulance arrived at the scene minutes later.
According to the witnesses, the assailant ran away from the scene but was caught by poilce and handcuffed. He was arrested and bailed pending further enquiries.
The victim was taken to hospital and received four stitches for the gash to his forearm.
