Cabbie helps nab robbery suspect
Police are crediting the assistance of a London cab driver in nabbing a robbery suspect yesterday.
Police said a suspect wearing a disguise entered the Mac’s Milk on Admiral Drive around 6:30 p.m. armed with a knife and demanded cash.
The clerk complied with the demand and the suspect fled on foot with undisclosed amount of cash.
The clerk was not injured.
Police were called and arrested three young males in the area, two of whom were later released.
"We’re always appreciated of help from the public and, in this case, a cab driver whose actions led to an arrest in this case," said Const. Amy Phillipo.
A 15-year-old London youth is charged with robbery and wearing a disguise.
