WOODFORD GREEN: Driver arrested over baby death crash
A man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving after a baby boy was killed when the car he was travelling in crashed in Woodford Green.
The accident happened at 5pm on Saturday in Chigwell Road.
The ten-month-old was in a black Audi with his mother and a male driver, who both suffered minor injuries, when it was in collision with a black taxi.
He died two hours later at Whipps Cross University Hospital from multiple injuries.
The taxi driver, 48, was also taken to hospital after being freed from his vehicle by fire crews.
The 35-year-old driver of the Audi was arrested and is being questioned at an east London police station.
Two other vehicles, a Vauxhall Astra and a Volkswagen Golf, were also involved in the accident.
